Ken Helfer is a self-educated writer.He built a cabin in the Ozark Mountains at nineteen and read a large part of the library of a nearby college while living in the backwoods. He then participated in full time volunteer work for several years, moving around the U.S. and working with talented people from all over the world. He started and ran three small companies, all of which are still in business. Ken has enjoyed the trails and forests of this beautiful planet, mountain bike riding or hiking almost daily. He lives with his wife in Durango, Colorado.
